A little history...
The Knights Templar and the Hospitallers are two orders created in the 12th century which have left their mark on the city of Sainte-Eulalie-de-Cernon as well as on the Middle Ages in the East and in the West.
Protectors of pilgrims and defenders of the Holy Land, the Knights Templar arrived on the land of the Larzac plateau, where they built their first monument, the Commandery, located today in the heart of the medieval village of Sainte-Eulalie-de-Cernon. They developed an intense agricultural activity to supply the pilgrims in the Holy Land, making the Commandery the richest in the South of France.
