The Dream of the Past Museum
Located in Ronel, near Réalmont, in the Tarn, this museum is amazing.
As soon as you enter the museum, you enter another world, that of the campaigns of yesteryear, created by Jean and Armelle Salvan.
The atmosphere of the life of yesteryear naturally imposes itself through the folk art objects, tools, toys, advertisements, crafts of yesteryear, life-size reconstructions (living room of the farm, bakery, reconstructed kitchen of the 20-40's, post office of yesteryear...) and models with automata (forge, merry-go-rounds...).
You will experience the harvest of the grain, up to its flour which is transformed into bread, and you will plunge into the world of miniature, among the old objects and models.
Up to the bust of the Pierrot Gourmand who also thrones there, among the furniture and musical instruments.
The Kings' Bean Museum
The Musée de la Fève des Rois (Kings' Bean Museum) offers a journey back in time thanks to more than 5000 kings' beans harmoniously distributed by themes, renewed each year, in showcases with different decorations.
An exhibition, in 75 themes, of thousands of king's beans, in original decorations, composed of various ancient objects: fancy cards, animated books, trinkets, calendars, laces, brooches, boxes...
This museum is also the meeting place for collectors of beans and various subjects hidden in the galettes.
The creators of the museum Jean and Armelle Salvan and their friends of the association "La fève des rois" make this museum live like no other.
It must be said that Armelle Salvan has a real passion for these beans of which she has become a true expert.
From 1870 to the present day, from German ceramics to Italian glass paste, she has collected over the years about 30,000 pieces.
