Yves Thuriès Sugar and Chocolate Museum

In 1989, a year after opening his pastry laboratory at the top of the medieval town of Cordes-sur-Ciel, Yves Thuries, several times Meilleur Ouvrier de France, founded the Musée de l'Art du Sucre.
Housed in the Maison Prunet, this museum showcases some of the finest sugar creations in the world.

The site features a permanent exhibition of works of art made from sugar and chocolate, the only one of its kind in the world. These creations are the work of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France and world champions such as Yves Thuriès, twice crowned Meilleur Ouvrier de France in two different disciplines, a unique feat in the world of Meilleurs Ouvrier de France.

Around a hundred works are on display, on themes as varied as the Middle Ages, nature, flowers, mythology, tales and legends.
A feast for the eyes... and the sense of smell, especially as many of the pieces have won prizes in major national and international competitions, and are presented in an original setting with carefully studied lighting.

Chocolate is not forgotten.

Finally, to round off your visit and tantalize your taste buds, a gourmet tasting of our specialities will be offered in the boutique area, where you can discuss the company's know-how.
