The Scarecrow Farm: Where Poetry Meets the Unusual

In the village of Rimeizenc, in the municipality of Le Fau-de-Peyre, Denise and Maurice Chalvet-Gladine have created a unique world: more than 300 scarecrows and 7,200 yogurt cups, all one-of-a-kind, born of their imagination and passion.

An unusual and poetic place that attracts many visitors to the Aubrac region every year.

An adventure that began quite pragmatically when a sparrowhawk attacked a chicken, and they had to find a way to scare it away.

From this situation emerged an exceptional collection: scarecrows, all different, recognizable by their costumes, accessories, and surprising details.

Each piece is therefore unique; the creators use yogurt containers, beer caps, tea lights, and other everyday objects to bring these surprising and unusual characters to life.

Denise and Maurice warmly welcome their visitors and are happy to share the story of their adventure.

Maurice cuts the wood, while Denise paints, dresses, and personalizes each scarecrow.
