The Museu Casa d'Areny-Plandolit is located in a 17th century manor house in the heart of the village of Ordino. Between 1600 and 1900 this house was one of the most famous in the valley of Andorra. The building corresponding to the house was acquired in Ordino in the 17th century. The house, which has been converted several times, contains 22,300 documents, 121 parchments and 139 books. The large library is a real bibliographic treasure with a bibliographic fund of 5,000 monographs. It is the second most important of the National Archives of Andorra. The documents reveal a lot about the economic and political situation of Andorra during several centuries. Objects such as blinds or unique pieces such as certain fabrics contribute to the iconographic wealth of the museum. The house also houses a natural science museum.
