Devil's Canyon in the Languedoc region of Colorado

Near Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière, on the slopes of the Rocher des Vierges, there is a natural wonder amid the red cliffs: canyons carved by erosion create unusual and surreal landscapes.

The canyon is also known as the “Languedoc Colorado.”

In just a few minutes, you leave the vineyards and olive groves behind to discover a scene that’s almost too good to be true.

Vast expanses of red earth, small valleys, and a little river—it really is like the Colorado.

You follow this stream, which gradually turns into a canyon, until you reach a beautiful 30-meter-high waterfall.

Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière is a French commune located in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region.
