La Petite Provence du Paradou, one of the largest nativity scenes in the world

The « Petite Provence du Paradou », a miniature village of Santons de Provence is the work of the best santon makers in France who have devoted more than 8000 hours of work.
There are more than 400 santons, reproduced on a scale of 1/6th, on 500m2, villagers, houses, animals, objects...

These santon-makers have made 32 old buildings, that is to say 50 000 clay tiles, made one by one, by hand.
The decorations are typical and picturesque and would not have been denied by Alphonse Daudet or Marcel Pagnol.
Everything here is authentic and breathes the eternal Provence.
In addition to the exhibition, you can discover a video on a Provençal tale lasting 16 min retracing the story of a public writer who, after discovering Nostradamus' will, sets off in search of treasure through the miniature village of "la Petite Provence".
A workshop is also available for those who wish to make a santon themselves.

La Petite Provence, the work of Mike and Marithé Charvin, is one of the largest nativity scenes in the world.
