Water House

Located in the heart of the Vallée Borgne, in the old Plantiers mill, the Maison de l'Eau (Water House) offers a fun exhibition on water in the Cévennes.
On the program: stories of yesteryear, tales, legends and games.
The Maison de l'Eau, which is part of the Ecomusée des Cévennes, covers a range of water-related themes, including the flora and fauna of a watercourse, the workings of a Cévennes mill, traditional fishing techniques and a specially-designed trail for children.

An interpretation trail completes the visit with a presentation of some of the tree species native to the Cévennes. This is a fun walk for the whole family, during which you'll come face-to-face with the birds that pass between forest and river. Equipped with a pair of binoculars, you'll follow the signposted path to learn how to observe and recognize birds (also downloadable from our website).

In addition to visits, the Maison de l'Eau also offers environmental education sessions for schools, leisure centers and the general public, as well as naturalist outings (on the trail of the beaver, the otter, the little people of the water...), walks, visits to the village...
