In a green setting, a 5 hectare century-old riverside park, the Bamboo Park, is a site labelled "jardin remarquable" since 2006 and is home to more than 200 species.
It is one of the first collections of bamboos in France, more than 200 taxa, a collection approved by the specialized Conservatory of Plant Collections (CCVS).
But you can also admire remarkable trees, flower gardens, bamboo mazes, collections of grasses, ferns and ivy and apple trees of old varieties. Not forgetting a pond with water lilies and... donkeys.
About 50 varieties of bamboos are available in the nursery such as Fargesias, Medium bamboos, Giant bamboos, Grasses, Dwarf bamboos...
An amazing restaurant... and a shop...
Citronelle is its name and it offers, in the heart of the park, the subtle flavours of Indonesian spices through a generous homemade cuisine, seasoned with good humour!
A shop offers Elemantais wooden and bamboo creatons and objects, honey, handmade pottery, "le grès du vent" (the sandstone of the wind), soaps and champoings from Bien-etre Zen et Sens as well as objects from Asia (in a fair trade approach) or insect paintings from "Alanscollectibles", "The Bug Mania" collection.
The park also offers, of course, the sale of bamboos and grasses.
