Fougeret Castle, the most haunted site in France...

Fougeret Castle, listed as a historic monument since 2010, is considered the most haunted place in France. It is certainly one of the most publicized in France.

Located atop a 38-meter cliff, it overlooks the Vienne Valley.

This 1,500 m² feudal castle in the neo-Gothic style is renowned for its past as a defensive stronghold during the Hundred Years' War.

After a rich and eventful history over the centuries since the Middle Ages, changing owners several times, it was abandoned for about fifty years, then purchased in 2009 by the Geffroy family.

The Ghosts of Fougeret

In recent decades, Fougeret Castle has become famous not only for its history, but also for its reputation as a haunted place. Strange noises, children's laughter, paintings falling from the walls, slamming doors, white silhouettes... These are all unexplained phenomena that suggest a heavy secret hangs over the estate.

Numerous mediums have intervened at the owners' request to contact the castle's spirits, revealing that several entities live within the castle walls.

According to Catherine Vivier: "The 'bailiff's room' was the setting, in the 18th century, for the murder with an axe of a judicial officer who came to collect a debt from Louis Taveau, then a resident of Fougeret. Linked by blood, the souls of the murderer and the victim now haunt the scene of the crime. They are accompanied by an unfortunate little girl who drowned.

In the so-called 'grandmother's room,' an old woman sometimes places a kiss on the forehead of the sleepers, or a caress on their hair." »

In total, 16 entities will be discovered within the castle walls.

The owners offer tours that include mediumship, numerology, past-life work, life paths, spiritualism, nighttime strolls through the castle with a medium to sense the energies of the place or your bioresonance, hypnosis, geobiology, and contact with nature spirits. These introductory experiences will help you discover your potential for receptivity.
