The Festival of Lanterns the largest festival of its kind in the world, outside China. The one that is now held at the Parc du Ritouret in Blagnac from December 1, 2021 to February 1, 2022 has taken over from the one that was previously held in Gaillac.

This festival attracts a very large audience, we expected several hundred thousand visitors for this edition, is declined in the world, Dallas, Singapore or London.

For the record, the last edition of Gaillac had attracted more than 480 000 visitors.

A unique show therefore, on ten hectares on which about 80 craftsmen from China have worked to set up the various tables of lanterns. With artists from the city of Zigong in the province of Sichuan where the art of lanterns is a traditional art born between the seventh and tenth century.

With Pandas, a dragon that has taken over the lake, the epic of the airmail, scenes of Chinese life but also mythical and spectacular legends like the Jurassic Park of dinosaurs!

Every evening, visitors will also be able to attend the fabulous performances of the artists of the Sichuan Opera whose particularity is to change up to 30 times of face by representation.

Practiced by only a hundred people in the world, this art is recognized in China as a National Treasure.
