Founded in 1990 by volunteers passionate about cars and history—members of the “Mémoire de la Nationale 7” association—this museum opened its first true permanent exhibition in 2003.
In 2012, the current exhibition was inaugurated in a space provided by the town of Piolenc.
While the layout is the work of volunteers, the exhibition design, murals, and explanatory posters were created by Thierry Dubois.
Throughout your visit, you can admire the collections of enamel signs, advertising posters, and other notable artifacts from the RN 7.
You’ll also gain a better understanding of the evolution of tires and radiators. It’s worth noting that 90% of the exhibits were donated by benefactors.
The museum also houses one of the first electric cars, as well as an interesting collection of Solex mopeds.
Vehicles are on display, along with a glimpse into the economic activity surrounding the RN 7, as reflected by the shops that lined the road from the 1950s to the 1970s…
