An environmental approach to art has been the goal of the Artchoum association in Lieurac, in the Pays d'Olmes region, for over 20 years.
And for the past eight years, the extraordinary garden has opened its doors to the public in late August and early September.
A free event, its goal is to make art accessible to all, combining agriculture, culture, and art.
For a few days, the hamlet of Gouziaud in the commune of Lieurac sees the crowds converge on the L'Amaranthe campsite, where the extraordinary garden is located.
Visitors admire the creations made from a wide variety of plants, both on dry land and in the Douctouyre River.
Irène and François, farmers working with a group of artists, have made excellent use of this concept on their land. A stroll punctuated by artistic creations, flowers, and vegetables of forgotten varieties, takes visitors through rivers, trees, and hills of the valley, becoming playgrounds and places of artistic exploration.
The walks are self-guided and free of charge.
Concerts intersperse the stroll for a delightful musical experience with Latin overtones.
