L'Oriflamme was founded in 2010 by Sébastien Philibeau to meet the ever-growing demand from history enthusiasts.
This wasn't his first attempt, having first founded Les Lions de Guerre in 2006.
L'Oriflamme is an association created in September 2023, following L'Oriflamme SARL (2010-2023), with the aim of sharing history and the Middle Ages.
Historians, actors, entertainers, tour guides, historical warriors... are all professionals whose mission is to combine pleasure and discovery, fun and educational activities, and arts and technology.
The ambition is to offer ever-increasing events. L'Oriflamme hosts festivals and markets, participates in film shoots such as "Never Without My Helmet," offers "discovery" weekends, and hosts "medieval" weddings.
It also offers turnkey medieval festivals.
L'Oriflamme also works in educational settings to enhance teaching and knowledge of the Middle Ages and offers courses, such as introductory courses in medieval combat.
Other activities include tourist site management and tourism development.
