The Museum of Folk Dolls

Located 15 km east of Duras and its château, in a beautiful house with a flower-fringed facade, the Soumensac Folk Doll Museum houses over five hundred dolls created by Thérèse Favennec: historical figures representing various trades from the 15th and 19th centuries in France and around the world, dolls in period costume, regional dolls and figurines representing traditional trades. Each one is unique, the fruit of long hours' work and a great deal of dexterity.

Self-guided tours, guided tours on request. Open daily, July 1 to August 31, 10am to 6pm. Closed on Sundays. Open all year round for groups. Price for a visit to Soumensac's 3 museums: €4.
